Wheatbelt Community Development Service
READ MY STORY
A little bit about me........
I have worked in Community Development in the Wheatbelt for over 14 years. I have a Diploma in Community Recreation and a Diploma of Project Management. During the 10 years in my position as Community and Recreation Development Officer I gained experience in the development of programs, event management, completing funding application and fulfilling requirements, infrastructure design and project management, community planning, management of an aquatic facility and management of Staff.
In 2014, I took twelve months maternity leave to start our family. This time away from the industry gave me time to think about what I wanted to do next. I thoroughly enjoy being a full time mum and it does take up the majority of my time, however I have a fantastic family support network that has allowed me the time to be able to continue in my career in the industry I am so passionate about. In 2015 I established Wheatbelt Community Development Service, my own consultancy business which allowed me to work part time from home. I am privileged to have the best of both worlds in being able to raise my child and be able to work with communities and organisations to make their dreams come true.
